Faces! (I'm back)

Hey there!
It's been a super long time scince I've post stuff on here! Nowadays, I'm posting most of my art on my Tumblr blog http://littlebazooka.tumblr.com/ but I'm gonna keep on uploading things here and there on this one. Let's start with some faces doodles!

Whenever I have free time I love drawing some of those! It allows me to experiment with shapes, straight and curves!

One character three different styles!

I was cleaning my USB key yesterday and I founded this old character design assignment I’ve made. I had to create one character, translate this character in three different  animation styles and animate one of the designs. I decided to bring life to the (looney tunes) cartoon design!
realistic style inspired by The Iron Giant
Cartoon style inspired by the Looney Tunes

I had so much fun doing this!
The animation will soon be posted here!
Till then have a nice day!

WWII Wonder Woman

I saw, last week, the crazy awesome WWII wonder woman cosplay by Jessica LG

I just…. had to do a fan art of it…

Wonder woman is just the most awesome female character that DC has ever created.

Good night!

Really weird named kids

Haha! I think I’ve never given such horrible names to my characters.
Anyway, these two kids are, once again, being badly animated by me! Still trying to improve on that painful but purely fantastic thing that is hand drawn animation!
The animation should be on here by next week.
Till then, have a nice day! :)

Character Design Assignment Tree: Tarzan

Hey guys!

After getting to know the cartoon and UPA type of designs, I had to get familiar with the one which I think is hardest. THE REALISTIC animation style! So as always I had to take a TV show or a animated feature film with characters who had realistic proportions and  without thinking I took my favorite Disney movie Tarzan. I have to admit this  really really hard! I didn't taught how much work I would had to put in this assignment but I think made it trough pretty well.

I've decided to create a chubby variation of Tarzan or as some of my friends told me "Tarzan's older brother". His name is Karume witch means master in African.
Here is the final look and the first designs I've made.

I wanted to create a character that had the same animal feeling that Tarzan had and  also that profound eye looking. This was what captivated me in that movie. I wanted those deep eyes that Glen Keane created perfectly in my character. I think the first sketch a the top shows that intention. But I haven't been able to reproduce that look again and that's whats I find  the most disappointing on this assignment...

Anyway, here's all the model stuff I've done after finding the character.

Even if I had a tough time creating that dude this assignment was crazy fun and made me learn and understand so much things! You guys should try this!

To finish this post I drew up my character in that classic Tarzan pose!

See you later!

Character Design Assignment Two: Samurai Jack

My second character design assignment! I had to choose a feature film or a TV series that is really more graphic and inspired by the UPA (United Production of America) or as other people say, in a  "Cut out" style. Incredible artists such as Genndy Tartakovsky, Lauren Faust, Craig McCracken and Kevin Dart are known today for there animations in that kind of style. So I've chosen Samurai Jack one of the craziest TV show I've watched when I was a child. It was so incredibly good and it still is! I wish to work in a series that epic one day!

So here is the final design. While searching for ideas of character, I thought what if Samurai Jack was a girl with a rebel personality just  like  Mulan or Merida? Below are some researches to find the right face and the whole model stuff.

As always designing that girl was really fun and to finish here are some sketches I've done to get into the style.

Have a nice day guys!
